Ground Zero...!!



“delta force on stand by…”
“start work on ground zero…”
“roger that…!!”

no I’m not planning bombarding any enemy base with nuclear WMDs..Literary WMDs are the order of the day. The military perceives “ground zero” in a completely different manner than what I reckon.., it’d be advisable to warn the people interested in the armed forces that the matter might be so not ‘ground zeroish’..!!

for starters, ground zero is exactly how I feel trying to post something here after a long gap.. abstract nonsense being my forte, a ground zero article on the same fascinating phrase is not something to put for an exhibition anyway..I’ll still try do some justice...

life itself personifies ground zero in umpteen no. of ways.. wonder how u work really hard for something and it falls out all of a sudden leaving u stranded at the same point u had started building it from, it gives a feeling of remoteness, the unpleasant placidity of solitude which exactly defines this zero ground..The path from this point is steep and often deemed condemnable..

and i can go on and on, on this abstractionism..


but my special reference is to the one manifestation most of the undergraduate students face during graduation.. MTECH or MBA or MS..? Which exam to pursue..?? When to start..??? the current world scenario(read recession) has lead to one thing remarkably, it has narrowed the window of opportunities for a graduate.. Thus it has inevitably lead to an increase in the rush towards the masters.. Now, how is it any better than the dilemma in grade 11, or how is the fight (read preparation) any worse than the rat race in grade 12, I wonder..
the question is enigmatic.. And so is ground zero..

Ground negative anyone???

“5 stars!!!” I squeaked in disbelief as I felt my brow ascend to my forehead, which had contorted as well, gazing at the Saturday HT column. "What are you trying to do !!?" I exclaimed as I noticed my fellow engineering classmate copying out chemical reactions on a notebook, from a 12th class chemistry book, a coupla days before our sessional exams, My mind in its workshops started exploring possible responses as it took a devoted ride of all our engineering subjects trying to link them with 12th class chemistry. But each connection seemed preposterous and futile.. And then she spoke.. Her words struck me like a jolt from the sky and i could feel my ears ringing with the reply.. "I’m making notes for my younger bro in class 12 who's going to appear for boards soon." i was simply awestruck to say the least.
